Hi Everyone/Anyone

My website has been up for about 6 mth now and traffic is poor.
I have read everthing i can on making it better. Meta Tags, keywords, Body text, Contents of text. etc etc.

I think its a good site it looks well it reads well. My IBP Program says everythings cool but type in Translation on any major Search Engine and we dont list, apart from msn.co.uk where we are 60th.

What have i done wrong? what am i doing wrong?

Its twisting my melon man!

if the site is getting indexed, and has unique page content on each page, with unique descriptive page titles the you probably need to work on link building still.

I made a post a while back of some links that have big listings of directory in them. I would check it out here:
[Dead Link]

goto the sites and start submitting in all those directories. It will take time but its the only way you can be 100% certain your links are actually submitted!

Bigy,
Aaron is partly right. I looked at your homepage and the webcopy is poor. If the webcopy isn't properly optimized than linking will only you go so far. I recommend Dan Theis' SEO Fast Start book. He explains alot about good SEO web copy and creating a themed pyramid structure.

And what keywords are you trying to dominate in? I think "translator" might be too vauge and too competitive. Have you tried keywords that might be less competitive.

the webcopy is the content on your website, mainly your homepage. It's not filled with alot of your keywords and you're not using basic SEO webcopy principles such as H1 header tags, all in anchor text, etc...then it's hard to move up in the rankings. A good optimized web copy will move you up higher in Yahoo and MSN much quicker than would occur in Google.
