Are any search engines currently checking the grammar of webpages as a method of determine raking?

If I have a page that is well written vs. a page that is just a bunch of words tossed onto a page will the well written one rank better?

As an example, take the well written page and do another page with the same words but all mixed up in random order... which page will rank better?

According to Rusty Brick from Search Engine Roundtable, poor grammar in title tags does not affect your rankings. Many title tags don't read correctly on purpose (i.e. ranking for commonly misspelled words).

I would say google does get effected by grammer for listing your site
I have exactly the same text as i have had for over 6 months on my site. I used to have CRAP listings on google for my specific keywords.
the key words are

Web Designers Dundee
Web Design Dundee
Designers Dundee

and so on

When my grammer was crap ie..
I missed out comas, semi colons and basic correct use of grammer, google over looked me and i was around 150 th for the keywords listings.

Now i have grammered up my site to the max with a little help form my sister I am now on the front page for every thing above and i am now reaping the rewards for it.

So to answer the question about grammer and lisitings Yes I recon it does significantly effect your lisitng on google.

I also now have a page rank of four for my home oage and 3 for every other page.
Before i had a page rank of 1 which is obviously crap

:D

Las t but not unimportant is you need to stop using tanbles for layout and use CSS ONLY
Now i know for the lesser designer this could be a bit of problem but a real other thing google really loves is lack of crap code
Lets say you have a WYSWYG editor i would dump it
look at the code on my web site you can read it as google reads it

Perfect grammer and clean code

thanks
and good night

:)

That's possibly beacuse your website became more established and you had obtained more inbound links.
