Hello.

I've heard that dynamically created pages are not favored by search engines. Will this mean that I should create each page individually?

I have feeds which will change regularly and automatically along with other components.

Anyone have any ideas how to approach this?

Thanks everyone.

How do these content heavy sites generate static html pages on the fly so that they can be properly indexed?

I've read some things which shocked me.
One person here http://www.codetoad.com/asp_dynamic_static.asp
says that he favored creating each page individually!!
one page for each product.
Obviously this is not a realistic solution.
I've been reading about "URL Rewrite' an ISAPI Filter for Microsoft IIS.

Once again the site will use feed from different sources and i'd like each page to display as html so that the keywords in the feeds can be relevant for googlebot etc.

I hear that wordpress is friendly to search engines.
If the content is pulled dynamically from a table, then how can it be friendly.

I'm really trying to keep this in mind while planning this site.

A little help would take me a long way.
Has anyone any ideas on this?
Thanks for any comments at all.

Increasingly confused,

This is just not true. It's dynamic URLs with session IDs on them that aren't favoured by search engines.

Just do a search for mod_rewrite, there are plenty of those topics on this forum.
