today my teacher told me about these two new search engine.
http://www.vivisimo.com
and
http://www.iboogie.com

vivisimo is different to google because for example say u want to learn html, if u type html into google, many, many differnet links, while vivisimo, can narrow it down into categories, eg. tutorials, scripts, etc.
i am not exactly sure about iboogie thought but it is goog for search things in diferent languages, and apparently has good copies of music and videos, etc. but yeh anyone heard of them??

they arent "all" from Yahoo though. they get results from others as well. Yahoo just shows up the most. I like the clusters and all, but i cant get over the results being different every time. kinda makes it pointless to try to get higher standings with them.

whoa
my bad. they say they dont use Yahoo.
Quote:
Clusty queries results from Looksmart, Lycos, MSN, Open Directory, Overture, Gigablast, and Wisenut. VivĂsimo chose these sites for their accurate results and quick return speeds. Some search engines object to being included in a meta-search, so we are unable to use their results.

my bad.

no. dont quote me on this but they say they are a pure metasearch engine. Vivisimo nor Clusty themselves ever visit individual URL's. they rely on the other search engines to index the sites.
here's a link if there are any more questions.
http://clusty.com/about
thur ya go!!
