just be polite and straight with your intentions. state where they can find their site link on you site. give them the necessary information about your site for the link exchange.

Keep it real simple and offer good pages to trade links from.

Sample email:

Hi

I have linked to your site here: paste your url

Could you please link back to our site using this code:
Insert both your code and a detailed list of the components of the link:

IE:
<a href=http://www.mysite.com/mylinkpage.asp target=_blank>My Link</a> - This is the link to my page...bla bla....

Title: My Link
URL: http://www.mysite.com/mylinkpage.asp
Description: This is the link to my site...bla bla

thanks
you name here

It is not permited here at Ozzu, at least not openly, if you want to exchange your links with someone use your Private Messages.

The problem I always have as a startup is that pratically nobody will do a link exchange with a PR0.

I don't use PR as the deciding factor when trading links. I look at how the site is constructed and how far from the home page the links page is. I also look to see if they are using any link manager software. I also look at the sites they are linking to and what those sites are like. Linking to a site that's PR 0...but is well built and has a good linking strategy is like a savings account. Eventually that site will have good PR.

If the site is new and deals with info in my theme I will sometimes try to get a perferred partner trade for a link that's not on a page with a 100 other links. That will help the PR 0 site get off the ground and gurantee you a spot on the best link page they have.

I also perfer sites that integrate the link section into the actual site...not just one link from the home page but a link from every page in the site or at least every page in that section of the site. That would give the appearance of a natural looking link section. Not isolated away from the rest of the content. It would be view as important as any other page in the site.

I use 50 State based pages for trading links and will get links to those pages as well. 5 links from each of my 10 best link partners to link to 5 of my link pages using relevant anchor text...just like any other page in the site.....think natural :)
