My site is:
http://www.mikenielsenmusic.com

I'm finding i difficult to get Google to rank my site. It only recognises the site if I type in the exact domain name (mikenielsenmusic.com) and then it lists it as 'frontpage', as i previously titled the homepage as such. I changed the title of the homepage since but it doesn't affect how Google lists it. I want to be able to simply type in 'mike nielsen' and have it ranked close to the top under this title. How might I achieve this?
many thanks in advance1

Welcome to ozzu !
How long your site has been up ? It takes time to be indexed in google. Moreover , to be ranked with high PR , your site should be updated frequently and should have a high traffic. Best of luck !

To add up to what he have said. Try to get more links pointing to your site, especially those related to your site
