How long does it take to get your site indexed? My site is still not showing up in the search engines.

Did you actually submit it to any search engines? I know that might sound like the dumbest question in the world, but one worth asking?

yes i did and its not really that dumb of a question a lot of people dont know about that but yes i did and none of them have picked it up

i did it two weeks ago! surely it doesnt take that long

it can take several months to get indexed in google. I've had a site up for a couple of months now nad only about 300 of the pages (out of about 30,000) are indexed. And another site that has been up for months, is hand coded and everything only has a couple of pages indexed. It just takes time, and backlinks, lots of quality backlinks always help.
