I stumbled across something in Firefox that when I put a search term into Goole, on the right hand side of the box where I would type:

Toast Oven 2,200,000
Toast Ovens 2,300,000

It was telling me how many people searched the term and it was dynamic.

Now I lost it and can't figure out which extension had it or what I had signed into to show this to me.

I want it back. Does anyone here know to what I am referring?

Or, can you point me to a tool that does the same thing.

Are you sure it was telling you how many people searched for it??? Or was it telling you how many results there were? Because Google doesn't make that kind of information public.

It was showing you the results. The numbers are far too high for searches.

You can get that sort of info from overture, digital point and wordtracker though none of them are 100% (or even close) accurate.

Yeah, I don't think google makes that kind of information public. You can use web statistics to find out how many searches (well, it only counts if people click on your link) directing to your Web site... I use a real good one called I-stats: http://www.i-stats.com

I would be curious to learn what that firefox tool you were talking about...

When visiting the overture site (bid tool), i constantly get a error, not a error message but no response after typing the security code, it just refreshes again and again when i type in the security code, what's going on that site, never had any problems before  .

Yeah I'm curious about google suggest - can you get any kind of info about the popularity of certain keywords based on what you type and see appear?
