How to promote my Wordpress plugin

Hello everyone,

few years ago I had some spare time on my hands and I have written Wordpress plugin Watermark RELOADED. Now I have taken things one step further and written successor called Watermark RELOADED Pro, witch has many more advanced features for watermarking images.

I have tried to promote the Pro version with AdWords, etc. but no success. So I think I have to promote the plugin to group of Wordpress users. So where I could find a community that would bring me some desired results.

If you have any suggestions on how to promote the plugin, I would appreciate it.

talk about it in the wordpress forum or add it to their plugin database

Hi sverde - we have written WordPress plugins too and we found selling them instead on CanyonCode was a better alternative than trying to solely market them ourselves.

You still need to tweet about them and add them to your blog but at least they are getting regular traffic all the time.

if it is really that good of a plugin make a dedicated home web site for it and sell it from there or host it for download from there. if people like it and start downloading regularly make a pro version and sell a license for it, but only if it is worth it.

Well you take the money you make from selling the plugin and you buy advertising so you have direct marketed advertising pumping traffic back home and if you pick the right spot most traffic that come back are mostly sales. So go promote on a word press web site lol
