keyword analysis is the most important component of any online business. No matter how much bigger is your project and no matter how much innovative stuff you have in you online store! Success will ultimately depend on organic search traffic that you will receive from various search engines.
Some people are afraid of targeting high traffic keywords because they think it is difficult to rank them on the first page of Google. Entrepreneur is some one who can eat up the competition and if you think that your niche is demanded then you should never be afraid of targeting competitive keywords
Targeting high traffic keywords is not an easy thing to do and a lot of resources are required to build powerful SEO-Link building campaigns. But you should build links naturally because getting too many links in very short span of time comes under link spam.

Time spent on link-building and patience are the two most important aspects of targeting a website for high traffic keywords. Also, the realization that if the keywords are competitive enough your website may never rank for them. For instance their aren't many one-man operations who have the time, resources, and patience to rank for the term "home loans".
