Hello,

Can anybody please point me in the direction of any tutorials on submitting to search engines so that I may write my own scripts? I use php for most scripting and am just looking for a recommended 'pointer ' from anybody who has already been through the learning curve. I have designs on writing my own search engine eventually   :P

Ever grateful.

Cheers, Primordial ... :D

Just google 'add a site' and it gives its own, or you can just ask google for search engines free or otherwise. after which just look for 'submit your site'.

The best way to get into the search engines is to generate some links pointing at your site from other sites.

This will allow thw spider to find your site much quicker by simply following the links.

Howdy--
I have just built a search engine, Haystack.TK, that you can submit to by going to http://www.haystack.tk and clicking the submit button.
Submit your favorite website to my search engine (http://www.haystack.tk) and get five free banner impressions.
