Here is where I'd like to share views on certain definitions of Internet Marketing. There are four types of "pages" that every Internet Marketer has to be familiar with. They are:

1. The "Sales Page"
2. The "Landing Page"
3. The "Squeeze Page"
4. The "Opt-In Page"

It would be ideal if we can clarify the key factors or differences in each one of these pages, so as to know what we're about as newbie entrepreneurs.

Thanks.

The landing page is a web page where people go to once they click on an online advertisement or natural search listing. Landing pages are designed to be highly relevant to the advertisement or search listing.

It might be helpful if the differences (or connections) are written here... for easy access later.

1. The "Sales page" vs. 2. the "Landing page:"

A "Sales page" cannot be confused with a "Landing page." The purpose of a "Sales page" is to SELL. The "Sales page" converts visitors into buyers. By creating emotional tension, we persuade people to buy. It sounds simple, but in reality, it takes a lot of time and practice to learn how to write a good and informative blog or article, and more so when it's a website viewers will be visiting for information. People in general, however, don't want to be sold anything. They just want to believe that they are making a buying decision.

A "Landing page" on the other hand is, in reality, also called a "Squeeze page," because there is only one course of action the visitor can take on that page - and that is to join our list.

3. The "Squeeze page" vs. 4. the "Opt-in page:"

A "Squeeze page" is in fact, sometimes called an "Opt-in page."
However, it is nothing more than a simple webpage with an opt-in form on it so that visitors can give us their name and email address in exchange for a free report, E-book or audio, or something that relates to our niche, or topic.

This opt-in form has to be connected to our autoresponder, which will get the reader to subscribe to our newsletter or ezine. By doing this they are giving us permission to email them, and we start forming a relationship with them. We can have a set of emails ready to go out or at least a welcome email. If they ever want to unsubscribe, we must make it easy for them by providing a link for that purpose at the bottom of every email. Just one important point to consider though, is that, there can't be any outbound links to other pages in our website, or other options of advertising or selling.

if you have to do marketing its not the easy way to grow in it unless you have to work hard by following some better steps as you describe above..

Hi,

There is so much info about landing pages, and what works and what doesn't. Landing pages are based on our purpose.

If we want to market our product in a one page funnel system, then our landing page will be the kind that will help convert a potentially interested person to a client/customer. We have seen such pages for E-books and other product marketing pages.

Apart from finding a great niche and product, it's also necessary to have a targeted landing page to encourage paying customers. And one great tip would be that your landing page does not sell anything at all!

In fact, it should give a valuable resource away for free... like a niche e-book, newsletters, mini-course and even tele-seminars that will educate the customer about the value of your product. Not only does it raise customer awareness but it also encourages customers to buy what you will eventually show them!
