Hello friends
I have registered my website on all top search engines. The web pages are content rich but still don’t have expected traffic. How can I increase traffic?

It takes time. Don't expect instant traffic. Will usually take quite a few months. You can find more that enough information on how to do this here.

To get you started, get a DMOZ listing in the correct category.

Consider Pay per click if your after fast results.

Google Adwords is the leader.

I wouldn't say it is the leader. In certain markets it is, others it does nowhere near what Overture does. I have many clients that do well in one, but not the other.

All depends on what business your workin with.

agree. Also consider link exchange and ads on your high traffic sites. you can learn traffic rank on Alexa http://www.alexa.com

Another good advise is (and it widens vetofunk advise) list your site in all possible directories. Links to most of them can be found all over this forum. I can recommend you our directory at http://www.aewebworks.com/dir/

register with a ton of directories
write articles and get them syndicated onto many sites
find a few link partners
sponsor a few related sites

pay per click can also help until your rankings improve but it usually takes at least a few months to do well in organic search results
