Lower case/Upper case?

Hi,

I know when most pple use search engines, they enter the keywords in lower case, but not all.
Is there any difference if a keyword is upper case or lower case? (from the webmaster's point of view, when optimsing for certain keywords...)

no difference in major search engines. The results in SE will still be the same..

It will also be good to use misspellings of your keywords in your meta tags keywords.

i agree. just try to type your keywords really fast and when u misspell it put that in your keywords. thats how i do it. and variations of the word: lets say your word is "the"
use "the" in your keywords.
caps dont matter either.

However For some reason google doesn't highlight uppercase words in the url's where as it does lowercase....

Someone on these boards noticed not sop long back - quite interesting I thought :)

do you mean the title of site? not url... ?
If title, google shows both upper or/and lower cases now. :P

I don’t think that you should have any problems in relation with upper case or lower case letters. Most major search engines are not case sensitive and will produce exactly the same results both ways.

oh that. same reason why you type CAPS and caps in address bar- they come up to be the same site.

Note it doesn't HIGHLIGHT them, but does take them into account.

e.g. Do a search allinurl: keyword Country-name

Yep, I've had pages ranked purely for keywords in their URL's that were not highlighted.
