I just recently read about Matt Cutts saying that Google +1s do not really help in rankings? Do you believe in this?

Why would +1s help in search rankings in the first place?

Matt Cutts just stop to consider Google+ or +plusone system as ranking factors but they never tell that social signal can't help you get ranking. If you have a strong profile on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter and you are getting good visits then definitely it will help you to get good ranking.

Social media links such as your company's Facebook or Google+ page certainly show up in the results. However, there is no proof that Likes, comments etc. have any ranking factors.
