What is it? I have searched google and ozzu for topics about this, and have found nothing. These are the methods I am considering: (this will be a "permanant" redirect)

* PHP header("Location: $siteurl"); command
* Frames page (with page to redirect to in one large frame)
* http meta tag redirect
* Any combination of the above.

the page I am redirecting to is at a different domain.

Hmm. I was thinking about doing this soon too, the only advice from Google themselves is:

Quote:
Once your new site is live, you may wish to place a permanent redirect (using a "301" code in HTTP headers) on your old site to inform visitors and search engines that your site has moved.

though that is a bit vague, so maybe it doesn't really matter? The most important thing (obviously) is that you get everyone to update their links to your new address.

It's more a question of cost than anything else. It is a long story but I don't want to get more hosting, and getting more hosting is the only way I can see of doing what I want without using a redirect. Anyway, I set up a 301 page there now. Thanks.
