Hi there, I know that outbound links are important as well as inbound. I just wanted to clarify, should my outbound links always be to a related site and should they be high PR or low PR?

Also how many should I have per page?

thanks

I second the question - I had asked this somewhere here, but did not receive an answer.

I know many people said linking out to related site is good.
the reason is having to keep as relevant as possible.
so the ideal situation is to link in and link out to relevant sites....

but i dont see the difference in results.

frankly speaking it doesnt really matter if you link out to low Pr sites or not either...

Dont forget, that just because a sites PR is 2 now, that doesnt mean it wont be 8 later. Sometimes a low PR investment may payoff, as I am sure they will be less willing to trade with you when they are an 8. However they also may not be willing to get rid of you just because they are an 8. If they cut off there links, then they wont be 8 anymore.

PR is not nearly as important as relativity.

Currently outbound links don’t have a effect on Search Engine Optimisation HOWEVER the technology seems to be there if your use Googles features to “find similar pages” etc… There is also a new Google penitents called Trust Rank which suggests outbound links are important for the future.. but these are mostly about linking to bad sites.

Get inbound links, Google title and H1 tag and design your sites for users and Google will aim to reward you.

If your talking about MSN rankings then keyword density is a sadly good.
