Nice work fellos on this forum. First forum I found set up the same way I am doing mine. Looks good. I need some help modifying my phpBB 2.0.8. How did you modify the static url so everything is only 1 level deep, and signature modify? I have been trying to to do it myself, but am having some trouble. I have removed user sessions id, and done the SEO phpBB hack. Need a few more mods to complete it. Thanks fellos, Eric Bland

http://www.able2know.com has a new version out with mod_rewrite, granted you have to be using Apache for it to work

You could always google for "phpbb seo"

Has anybody used phpBB on Windows server with something similar to mod_rewrite (ISAPI rewrite)?

What if the web host has no apache running?

I think there is a mod_rewrite equiv for IIS, but I'm not sure what it is, or if the host even has it enabled

My advice is to get another host.

if the webhost doesn't have apache running, find a better hosting company :)
