Hi, our provider just disappeared of the web and all phone numbers disconnected. We are moving but will take a few days.

Can yahoo, msn or google visit site find it's gone and remove our domains?
thanks

If your site is not up than next update will show that. Although i have to say it will take from three to twelve months before your site is completely away from search engines.

Why does it take so long? given that google scans my site 10-20 times per day, I don't understand why there are still links to (and caches of!) my old redirect domain (which now now longer exists at all), on google.

I think there is a Place to have your Listing Removed.

Ya here it is.

Take a look at this it will give you insite on this mater.
http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html

Read A. I need my site information changed.
2. You continue listing an 'old' version of my site.

And if need be read
Look down at B. I need my site information removed.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Backlinks from other pages :)

Perhaps even some of your internal pages still point to old URLs (especially if you run a forum or something).
