Not sure about PR 7, but if you PM Bigwebmaster and ask, he's
got some links for sale on PR 8 sites. :)

I have seen huge sites with a PR of 7-8 selling links on their site for about $800.00 a month, but then your listed on over 1000 pages.

How many of those 1,000 pages on the site are actually PR7 or PR8 though?

That's not bad....

My site's currently PR6, with many other pages totalling 4-5, and some at 2-3. Google knows of about 4,000 pages on my site at present.

Looks like I need to bump my advertising rates a tiny lil bit :D

Do you sell links on your site currently?

Not really sell... I've sold some banner space, but that's about it. To be honest I've not really pushed it.

My site's continually growing, and there's always more and more things I need to add, my site never feels quite "finished" (although it never well be). Ok, so most sites are like this, they're always having new content added, but the features are "complete".

But, that's why I've never really pushed advertising on the site. Right now, I just use a footer (like here on Ozzu) for my own other sites, and some of my web design clients, and a couple of friends' sites (like http://www.reptilerescue.on.ca).

Id love to have a huge site like your own, and sell footer links for like $200.00 a month. Have about 20 there and live on that for awhile ;-)

I bet that if you ever started doing that, you could alot of extra money.

Try this: write an article, then post it on http://www.articlecity.com. Make sure that you link to yourself at the and of the article. It's a good way to get a free link from a PR 6 site!

I still think its ethically wrong to buy a link just to gain a PR boost. Its not the way a democracy like Page Rank by Google is for.

If you have a UK useful site then submit it to http://www.splut.com/ this will give you a PR boost for free!

Wow thanks it always makes me feel proud when people say things like that. Its an example of a semi successful website done with 0 budget and plenty of free time. We have never paid for links or advertising from other websites (maybe £60 on Inktomi paid by our banners). Free link exchange is essential part of getting links and PR because you cant rely on anyone to link to you just because you have good content. These kind of relationships are longer lasting than paid for PR grabbing links. When we swap links we also give the sites more by including the link of new websites in our news letter and if it’s a good organisation like http://www.sci-fi-london.com that’s related to our content then we give them lots of free banner adverts because affiliate banners pay so poorly.

We also get to meet actors and directors and free screenings of films before the public get to see them and only Friday on of our editors was interviewed along side a Bishiop on BBC Radio Scotland talking about the film “The Passion of The Christ”. Promotion like this comes about by researching the industry and getting together a contacts list or database and SEO will not help in these issues cos you have to be seen as pro active offline.
