After submit to Yahoo Directory, can i still submit to other directory which have a lower rank rank. Then will my page rank for the site reduce with the other directory or will it improve it ???

I think you should submit to as many as possible. The more links you have to your site the better your rank will be.

as many as possible. some directories are worth the submission though, as they do not bring traffic to your site.

I wouldn't pay to get into yahoo directory. It isn't very cost effective.

Don't think of links as a set target. like - "I have to get 10 links!"

Think of it as an ongoing target - "I have to get as many links as possible!"

Directories are only one way to get links.

Obviously the answer to your question is - you submit to as many directories as you can find.

I usually submit to like 50 - 60 or so. one benefit of the Yahoo! Directory listing is that sites that are in the Yahoo! Directory or in Overture Site Match get a site review and some sort of quality mark and they may get a ranking boost in Yahoo! powered search products.

I never really thought of all of these promotion tips and tricks. Maybe if I pay a lot more attention to it my site'll become more popular.

I would forget about Page rank, instead try and find directories with good traffic and ones that allow you to use anchor text links.

A couple of places to start:-

http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php
http://www.allthebizz.com/resources.php (my own directory)

There are 100's of free directories around, how many you need to submit to depends on how competitive your market is etc

I agree!

When submitting to directories mainly think about the traffic that they have and only think of the PR as an added bonus.
