my search turned up different results again ... firstly:
Quote:
172,600,000 results for sony

And then I really did get heaps of pages, and also, it gave me this little info box thing with other "relevant" results:

you can hover over any of those and then it gives little sub-searches for each of the items in each of the "tabs" ...

It's very disappointing, I've been hoping for an engine to rival Google, I'm bored of them. The bad press is flying around the NET for cuil. They probably just missed their biggest ever opportunity

It seems to me like they entered the wrong query to find their search results ... SELECT everything BUT the site he/she is looking for ... I did a quick search for my own site (OhDesignX.co.za) and came up with a result for my site on another site (seobugz.com) ... so I searched for SEOBugz ... and I found lot's of pages inside the SEOBugz website except for the index page ... Not cool.

That's what you get when you purposely mispell words to be cuil. It carries over into the backend.

I'm declaring Cuil the mullet of the search industry.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Yes indeed ... I am just going to pronounce mullet as [moo-lay] from now on to make it sound a bit better ...

I really like the concept after looking at it for awhile.

http://www.cuil.com/search?q=linux&sl=long

Linux Distros, Kernal hacks, Open source, RPM based distros are some of the Categories it gave me to explore. Its an interesting way to help people find more exact searches if they enter something to vague.

No results because of high load...

Due to excessive load, our servers didn't return results. Please try your search again.

Competition is good. Site launch pr with bugs is bad. Should be interesting to see the development in the future.
