All over the show you read articles... "SEO is dying".
In my opinion SEO will have a role to play for quite some time to come.

Google is bringing out universial search, but I still believe that it won't be difficult to do SEO on it.

It very simple to get a top 10 ranking for any keyword phrase in Google SERPs or Google images .

They will add video and news as well.

What is you opinion on this?

Yeah, that's very true...........
Traditional link-building SEO seems to be getting out of fame and you will have to research on latest trends as " Latent semantic indexing and Personalize search "
Hope someone will help us with more references..... :)

Yeah, we will have to adapt to change.

I still believe that SEO has a role to play.

Is using SEO a lot better, in the long run the use pay-per-click, or would pay-per-click be a better idea. I use the free web directorys to post my backlinks and i dont really get bored doing it so i just feel like doing that is the better way to go. but does it work?

Free organic search engine traffic is always best.
Another advantage of this is that you will have targetted traffic, because the person will search for what they aer looking for.

Your linkbuilding in sig files in forums can play a slight role. At least you might get some website traffic.

I think the need and technique of SEO is never going to die. The only thing that can happen is that there may be changes in method how we do it

I agree,

SEO will have a roll to play no matter what the search engines come up with

Well for my part I would hope that SEO will never die, as a search engine owner and writer some of the websites we index are little more than crap. If it was left to the sites owners then the sheer quality of the web would fall lower and lower.
A well designed website doesn't need seo providing it is designed really well to start off with but then changes to the algo's the search engines are using will then change how the results are being formed and so constant changes will be needed to keep a site within the top of the results.
Note the moans from site owners a few days after big daddy changed and what was once top then couldn't be found.
So SEO will be needed all the time and modifications will be needed to keep a website perfoming well all the time..

Now a days, the search engine techniques come up with new methodologies. To chase the updates bots are frequently changing their crawling techniques.

Sometimes it seems to be "Death of SEO" But its not almost true.

social bookmarking and etc are some of the latest tools that differ from the tradtional SEO Techniques. But it is a positive indication that we have (SEO) to change our way to market and explore the opportunities.
