What's the difference between Search Engine Optimisation and Pay-Per-Click methods? Which one is good?

Both are good it depends on you which method you want to be accept for your site.

In PPC you have to be pay for clicking visitor on your site to google.
And in SEO you have to drive visitors through your knowledge. You should have to get top rank on Search engines on your targeted key phrases.

And in PPC you are visible on SE using your money.

Both ways you can drive visitor on your site on one way you have to pay nothing and other side you have to pay for visitor's visit.
