Can anyone tell me definition of Stop character and Stop word?

stop words also known as poison words,.
There the word that can decrease your site's ranking once SE caught you are enclosing these words on your pages,.

Good example are adults words

There are some words that the search engine considered as stop words, that when the spider encounter this words or phrases it immediately stop and all the gathered data in your site will not saved. So your site is not indexed...When your site is already indexed then you has an update and the spider encounter these so called stop words your site will be remove or even get banned...

Every SE has a words that they considered as stop words, usually as cEejay_01 said a "adult words"...

Stop words is the name given to words which are filtered out prior to, or after, processing of natural language data. This is sometimes seen as a negative approach to the natural articles of speech.

Example:

a, an, and, am, are, as, be.......
