I have a submitit.com account.
I'm going through the process and optimize every page like they suggest.
Then they ask me to submit... after every page I optimize.

Is that normal? Submit every single page?
Aren't we supposed to submit one main URL (domain name) and sit back and wait for ever?

You really don't have to submit your site to search engines, just get some quality backlinks and search engines will find you.

That's not recent. That's old news. And all you have to do when it comes to spelling is think about it. How many people are going to search for gugle vs google?

I guess I do not understand what "Misspelling in forums leads to decreased positioning" means then.

Do you mean when I intentionally mispell something to get hits, and then your listed as site 35 instead of 1 for the search with correct spelling? I used to have an old site that had an article about Time Magazine. I mispelled it when I wrote it, and never changed it because I got ton of hits from people searching for the magazine, and making the same typo I did.
