I've seen lately many people installing Dmoz scripts on their sites (so that the Dmoz directory is browsable on their site).

What do you guys think are the advantages / possible seo flaws of doing this?
Should I do it?

It has no advantages.

1) why would people visit your site when they could go to dmoz?
2) why would google send people to your site when they could send them to dmoz?

1) Not to have it as a product but rather an extra bonus (ie. like a links section)

These sites seem to be indexed for their content as that of the sites that install the script - thus it could be additional content to attract traffic?

My concern is duplicate content; has anyone installed Dmoz on their sites before?

It will be additional content, But why would anyone bother looking at it?
It would be content for the sake of it, it will have no benifitial effect.
