Well I have it all down the way you guys here have said to do it- And I trust ya! Someone that I wanted to link with told me to put this in:

"> <meta name="Classification" content="Arts and crafts"> <meta name="robots" content="index,follow"> <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days"> <meta name="rating" content="safe for kids">

Where would I put that? does it need to be edited for my content?

I have only a few places to put that in the homestead site builder. Tag areas. Should I have a "head tag" ? When I put one in it pops up into the upper right side of the page before it loads. Is that normal?

Also, with keywords is it: Keyword, keyword or keyword,keyword ?

This site said no space between the comma and the next keyword. Is this a good site for SEO tools?

Hello the tags
Code: [ Select ]
"> <meta name="Classification" content="Arts and crafts"> <meta name="robots" content="index,follow"> <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days"> <meta name="rating" content="safe for kids">

Goes here:
Code: [ Select ]
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Under that bit, least thats where mine is lol and its 'keywords'. I doubt very much if a space matters but I do have the spaces in mine.

Ask away

:)

I am useind a "web site builder," I do not know where to put such a tag. I have three options of: disctiption. head and keywords. These are the only places I can put such a tag.

When I put one in the <head> it pops up into the upper right side of the page before it loads. Is that normal?

Swan, does the web site builder allow you to directly edit the HTML?

I have 3 sections where I can put things: 1. advanced "<headtag> 2. "discription" and 3. "keywords".

I tried adding the: "> <meta name="Classification" content="Arts and crafts"> <meta name="robots" content="index,follow"> <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days"> <meta name="rating" content="safe for kids"> into the keywords on the tail end after spidering another site that appeared to have them somewhere in that section, but removed when this site: http://www.instantposition.com showed no keywords on my site anymore.

This tag a lady gave me when I asked her for a link.... do I need it?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

If you can edit the html dirrectly add them between the
<head>

</head>
tags.
There are many scripts that can create meta tags for you
http://www.spywire.net/meta-generator

Have a bunch generated for your content and then just paste then into the html.

Swan,
The 'advanced "<headtag>' option you spoke should be the one to look at I reckon.

If you can paste this exact text into this option I'd say you will be ok.
'<meta name="Classification" content="Arts and crafts"> <meta name="robots" content="index,follow"> <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days"> <meta name="rating" content="safe for kids">'

Let me know when you have it done at I will look at it on your site to make sure it is ok :)

Ok, Thanks Stew. Sombody else said, "why the 14 day thing in there".

Does that tag look like it needs to be edited in any way?

Swan

Ps I'll drop it in now.

It's looking good :) Apart from one point, remove the "> before <meta name="Classification
