What does TinEye do?

TinEye does for images what Google does for text.

Just as you are familiar with entering text in Google to find web pages that contain that text, using TinEye, you enter an image to find pages where that particular image (and modified versions of it) appears.

Has anyone tried Tineye yet ? (note: It requires you signup with email/password to try it, takes about a minute)

I really like the idea, I thought about something similar years ago but couldn't work out how to deal with hue changes and stuff like that, which apparently this is supposed to do.

The only problem for me is I haven't found a single match for an image I know has been online for at least a few months, or less time than that even. The only images I've found results for have been ones I grabbed from the first page of Google Image Search results and tried it out with just so I could see what kind of results I get.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
