Hi .....

I think that you can use in your title 50-80 character including backspace, in your keyword 1024 character including backspace and in your description 250 character including backspace.

This information is one collection of all another research that I do.
But I dont know if this is real !!!

I don't believe 150 is a set in stone number. I'd be interested to hear where you read that? By the way, as a suggestion I'd remove the blinking links. Blinking links annoy users more often than not.

I know theres already a bunch of replies to this topic but I wanna give my 2 cents...here it goes..

first off, the white text on white backround is a big no-no..im sure you already know this from the previous post's...Secondly, 150 characters set in stone I do not agree with and would also like to know where this was read...Thirdly, 15 keywords sounds a bit much. I would limit the amount to your main keywords..then create more pages for your additional keywords. SE's love content..so give them what they want..make a seperate page for wedding hosts, wedding cakes, wedding planning, wedding flowers, wedding priests..whatever you want..this way you can target each keyword to its own page..and even the misspellings if you want..As for the meta tags it doesnt hurt to use them. Yes, alot of big SE's dont go by them anymore but there are still meta search engines on the web...So taking them off is like giving away traffic..I'd keep em..just my 2 cents

I think the only remaining use of meta tags is to tell the crawler how to read and what to include in his crawlings.

I am now disagreeing with what i said in my post over ayear ago.. i was looking through my stats there and found a link to this forum post so i read it ..

After an extra year doing SEO i disagree with what i said previously about 150 characters.

The keyword meta tag is almost useless so leave it out.

The description tag is used as the description on the search results for lots of search engines so use it to describe your site in the best manner possible using arounf 20 words max..

i got the 150 characters from a crappy SEO app i was using at the time calles Web CEO which i now know is as much good as a fart in a space suit.

use the description tag wise ly but dont keyword stuff it. Make a good description and make it chatchy

thats all

any one like my new site?

I dont think there is any limit on using the keyword in meta tag. But 10 sounds quite good so go for it.

Example -

wedding designs, wedding web site,

is that right or should it be -

wedding, designs, web, site

Thanks

since you are veteran member for your 547 posts in this forum, i believe you have heard of keyword tools to use for your meta tags use and research.

15 keywords sounds ok to me and of course you can also use two words or even more as long as you have the data that supports your claims that whichever keyword you are to use, they should be well optimized for a maximum traffic.

keywords are one of the most important things to consider in optimizing your pages and content.

Some targeted keywords will really help you!
Adding non related keywords is meaningless :)

With Google now meta tags and keywords are hardly relevant!

The meta title and meta description tags are still very relevant...though I agree on the keyword tag.

Search engines are not paying too much attention to the Meta keywords. It is only used to increase the keywords density of a site. Please don't try to put more Keywords in your page contents otherwise you will be penalized by the search engines.

Over the last several months I've experimented with Google Adwords Campaigns for my sites. Google suggests that with every campaign you create you should not use any more than 20 keywords per campaign. Think of a campaign as a webpage. My sites "seemed" to do a little better after about a month of removing about 80 keywords I had. Who knows, maybe it was coincidence. Then again, if you really think about it, it makes perfect sence. The more crap you stuff into your meta tags, the more difficult you make it for the search enging to make a decision. All I can say, if Google tells me to do something that will help me get my information seen, I don't ask questions, I just do it..lol
