Nice list. But a friend told me that submission to SEs are not recommended anymore, though you could still do that. It is better for SEs to find your site naturally. Let them crawl your site naturally.

Not any new ones, anyway thanks for the article. Like someone said the title should be a little different from what you gave it because the first 9 points are more about Search Engine Optimization (although SEO itself is kind of "Promotion") than actively promoting your website.
