Inbound links, or Backlinks, are links on other people's sites that lead back to your site. Backlinks tell search engines how popular your website is, giving them the information to rank your website.

We have heard that add quality content to your web site will give the search engines a good idea for index for website.
For getting the quality we need the quality links to our web site this comes from the "Inbound links". Inbound links are simply the links from an external web site to your web site. The number of the inbound links also defines the popularity of your web site.

Backlinks are links that are directed towards your website. Also knows as Inbound links (IBL's). The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. Backlinks are important for SEO because some search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query.
