One of my sites that I have been trying to rank, just showed up on the first page of results on Yahoo and MSN. But I optimized for Google. However in Google my sites appears in the mid 500's somewhere. Could this be a case of sandboxing?

Also is there a way to tack conversions without using a pay per click service?

I never use to believe in Sandboxing, but I am seeing this kind of thing more and more. Every new client I get, I see that Google takes quite a few months to get ranked well, where as Yahoo and MSN take much less time.

As far as tracking conversions, there is software out there. Our company created a program that tracks everything from any engine or marketing program, which includes conversions.

What I found is that yahoo, msn rank much differently than google as they don't put as much weight on links like google, I think they prefer content :)
