which do you think is better, keyword.domain.com or
domain.com/keyword/keyword.html
?
I've done both and came up with different results both times.
anyone have any hard ideas or proof as to which is best?

Never really tested it.

To be honest - I think whichever way you do it - so long as you have your keword in the domain it doesn't matter.

Personally 'I tend to opt for subdomains kewyword.domain.com its always worked well for me.

Well the little testing I have done in the matter was, google seemed to treat the keyword.domain.com as an individual site rather then an extension of the main site.
Which can be good when you make sites that are related, but not exactly the same.
such as "same main subject matter" but actual content is alot different such as
both sites are widgets, but one only talked about this specific widget, and the other talkes about another specific widget"
in my only testing google seemed to weight the other as another site.

anyone else have any ideas?

"btw" the subdomain ones seemed to get crawled much faster and indexed faster then the domain/keyword/
