I've submitted to dmoz, zeal and yahoo. got into the first two, no luck with yahoo yet.

apart from those, what's worth submitting to?

JoeAnt (I actually get alot of traffic through there), Goguides, Gimpsy, and Business.com (good traffic for b2b, otherwise, the page rank alone is worth the $99.00 a year).

Well, if yours is a shopping site, I can possibly submit you, but it looks like you have a noncommercial.

What I can do is if you give me a url, good title and description, I can request them to add you to joeAnt. Just PM me.

Any that are free and require no link exchange are worth while.

Any that are free and require a link exchange should be viewed for relevancy (are there other links on that page that contain your main keyword phrase(s).

Any that require a fee should be evaluated with: Is this worthwhile just for the link without considering SE rankings.

The listings on the site are fairly accurate. Just follow the details they offer. And don't forget your regional directories listed there.

Hi

If you submit your website to my link directory you don't have to link back and you can get in 2 ways traffic to your site. All the links submitted to my site get traffic from our visitors and via google because all the links submitted to my site also get a separate website (php) and those will show up in google.

Tip: use a long link title with many keywords in it.

I have a couple of directories.

http://www.allthebizz.com - is a business directory
http://www.accountants-directory.com which as the name suggests is accountancy related.

Both are free.

ONe thing I have done to get non commerical sites quicker into Yahoo is to go through different countries. I usually go through Yahoo UK if Im unable to go through Yahoo US.

I have started a directory which is pretty specific (just baseball sites allowed in). I was wondering how I could promote it, is it any different than a regular website or are there lists of directories I can submit it to.
