I would have to say that right now Google is the best search engine out there.

http://www.google.com/

For the most part it gets the most accurate results and keeps the content much more fresh compared to other search engines.

google is definitely the best right now. dogpile.com was for a loooong
time, but I think google got a better financial backer to boost it above
dogpile. I believe they track and rank very similarly.

Google has become pop culture though. No other search engine has people saying something like "I'm gonna Google it"(it being the search subject)

I use Google as my main source, but use other search engines for my "no morals" searches...

Yep. General consensus all round. And they have a great team constantly working on it.

But they're young. And so is search engine technology. So...how long do you think they will stay on top? Funny how everything seems like its going to last forever...

I alternate between Google and Yahoo, although I find myself using Google more and more.

Although their results aren't exactly the same...Yahoo uses the google engine, but how they weight pages based on content can differ from time to time.
