Submitting your site to DMOZ every month wont give you a better chance to get listed.

It is very difficult to get listed there. I will suggest you to find the moderator of the category you are submitting, and ask him/her about your submission.

Yes unless you know someone there you may have issues getting listed.
DMOZ is getting worse and worse when it comes to editors allowing sites that arent their own.

Just keep in mind, tarun_ce, that your site is not guaranteed a listing, and a review can take several years. Don't be surprised if you don't receive a response to your e-mail query.

Dmoz listing is not easy. Dmoz generally takes time for listing any site. Dmoz considers different factors while listing any site. So if any one factor is missing in your site then it is difficult to list your site in Dmoz. So develop your site according to those factors. Also it is important to submit your site in proper category. So while submitting your site in Dmoz, consider all these points.

lol. I've been trying to get listed in two categories for nearly two and a half years. Still waiting. The editors never show up to look.

It all depends on your site as well. I have a few categories where I get so many spammy sites submitted daily...so don't just blame the editor, webmaster's are making it hard as well.

Plus make sure to read the guidelines before you submit. Don't do things like keyword stuff or submit your site to multiple categories. And make sure the category you submit your site to is the best category, if it doesn't fit and you submit, we either have to move it or delete it.
