I'm thinking about advertising my web design website on exactseek. They recently came out with a paid listing feature which is very similar to google adwords - only difference is the paid listing only appear in the exactseek website. The rate is pretty cheap per keyword. It is $36.00 for one year. My only concern is how much search engine traffic does exactseek actually generate? Anybody have an idea how many searches are performed on exactseek per day or month? I just want to make sure I'll be getting hits if i choose to purchase their paid listings.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Brian

hi bbott1982, I have tried asking a simliar question before but it seems that there is no definitive answer to this.

Reason:
- Different industries/experiences altogether.

My guess:
- try it. heh heh. I am trying it for another industry too...

I would call them. I always try to speak with a rep before I decide to advertise with them. The big question is what kind of B2B market they have, since your selling web design. The smaller search engines I have been successful with are (remember, differs by industry):

Enhance.com
Kanoodle.com
Findwhat.com
Search123
Looksmart

All brought in less traffic, but the ROI was much better. This was not for a B2B business though.

Good piece of advice again veto.

try askjeeves.com too- it is not too expensive
incidentally, with askjeeves, it covers search123 as well.

Does askjeeves have a pay per click now? I use them for pay for inclusion, but my Google adwords ads are shown in their sponsored listings. I am seeing other results in the sponsored listings though.

I was thinking about that. Well if it is also about pfi, than yes, askjeeves is a good place to be listed.
