im not selling any products or services and would like to know my other options to getting money for the website and how they work or how i can obtain them.

write something interesting, start a chat, offer free stuff so people visit and stay, find sponsors.

just writing about your opinion about your work that related with the website, such what you offers or else ... how to make your visitor need to put comments on your site,.. more attractive. tell them anything and then you join the forum and post a little bit about your website in related forums, submit your url to search engine..

You can always combine with some Ads... And fill with Adsense if you can't fill your advertising slots.

a decent site with original content can help you in earning sitting at home. there are several PPC programs like Adsense, Bidvertiser, Clicksor, Oxado, YPN etc...
if the site is regularly updated with lots of original content then visitors flock in and these visitors help you in generating money from these advertising networks. it takes time though to gather visitor, but surely is the best way of making money online!

join as a publisher in advertising networks like adsense or adbrite . diplay thier ads in your site and earn money when your visitors click on them

Use revenue sharing programs like adsense, adbrite, bidvertiser to earn some revenue everytime user clciks the link you will get paid...
and also submit your website to directories for more and good traffic... you can also join affiliate programs if your website had good visitors...
