Are these links all related to your site? Hopefully you already have a Yahoo listing, because I would have spent the $299.00 on that.

As far as buying links, I would look to find which sites are in my category in DMOZ. I would try to purchase as many links from those sites as possible.

When I have finished my website, I won't be buying advertisement space on DigitalPoint or webmaster forums as such, I will be buying Adwords, and hopefully this will attract visitors from the keywords I choose. I will buy advertisement space, but on websites, not forums.

If you want to increase PR when trying to get visitors, I recommend submitting your site to search engines (Like Google Adwords), etc.

How much did you pay for your DP link and how many posts where there for that member?

I personally don't by high PR links. I prefer to buy links on site with high traffic and not for high PR. I just don't think it's worth the money.

I don't spend money on buying links. You just don;t know when Google is going to penalize you on this. When Google does it, you will loose everything.

Never spent a dime on buying links and still get good traffic. I believe Google will find those sites that are selling and rate them lower. Therefore, you wasted money.

Well......I buying or selleing links are wastage of time and money as it is against google webmaster guidelines however they increase or divert traffic to a site but as soon google detect it, site will be penalised so, i just avoid........

Actually I didn't spend money just for a link there are lots of way to gain quality link with out spending any amount of money...If you have a good site which contain good contents and has a better PR, you will gain quality BL...For the new site just continue doing proper link building and post quality contents and soon you will get what you want...

Regarding to penalty for those who sell links, I am quite confused because there are lots of paid directories there scattered around the net and they are all exist until now...they are not getting banned or penalized either...
