I created a site that caters to Latin people in Houston Texas. How do you target these audience?

You could use google adwords, they allow you to target specific areas / locations.

Thank you for the google adworks tip.

In regards to the demographics. Yes it is true that the Latin sector is the poorest of the them all, but in Houston it is the biggest % of the population with 34% total and the fastest growing. The only problem is that the ones that have a computer do not want to spend on high speed.

I live where we have heavy number of Hispanic popularity (about 50% or more).
I have tried spanish web site, it didn't do too good. (2 page views a day average). So, I gave up that site.
I have an English version of the same web site, which I get about 250 page views every day.

I came to the conclusion that I would re-try Spanish web site in 2-3 years. I don't think they are up to date with internet technology. (I hope I don't offend anyone)

hello,

you can use google or clicksor, both of them offer same service; however, i suggest you should submit your site to local search engine or business directories.

yeah

demographics is damn important whether you like it or not. heheh.

and I wasnt talking about latin being the poorest but instead, whther they use internet or not.
or if they are pc literate or not..

just as lots of australians dont use much internet.
they know what it is but they dont see the need for it.

thats what i meant... :-)

Have you tried http://www.meetup.com ? they're pretty good for local events, etc. Join the local latin group in your city and you'll have access to lots of members at events. They don't let you post links but you can message people to email you. Also if you put meetup.com's link on your site and sometimes they give you a backlink.

I'm doing the same thing here in San Diego for asian events. It's working out ok.
