If I get alot of consistent high traffic to my site, Can I make a decent amount of money from paid advertising? I am making a huge informational website on a variety of things, That will expand I am hoping to 50 webpages total. How much traffic on average per day would I need to make around $2000 a month from mainly advertisements on my site? Thanks!

If you get lots of traffic, go for CPM affiliates

I agree it usually depends on what niche your site is as there are others such as affiliates that pay well in just a single sale.

if your site isn't vertical, meaning that it has lots of different topics, then Google's Adsence is the best option for you. If you have a niche site then affiliates might be an option, but adsence is your best bet.

It could be an adsense alternative. But it is also depends on your niche or category.

I'd go with contextual ads like Adsense, Yahoo Publisher network, Text link ads, Kontera, and Performancing ads. If you position them properly, you can have a lot of CPM ads and still look clean. If the information has to do with something people could buy, definitely add some affiliate links (commission junction and share a sell are popular in this category).

if your site is an e-commerce site then go PPC or affiliate marketing, if not, then, go adsense, textlinkads, etc...

My experience with it was horrible.
Alot of "Demo Ads" which are basicly ads you don't get paid for got slipped in.
The compensated ads were played about as often as Adsense gets clicked, but payed about 1/10th of a cent per-play.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
