What, in your opinion, makes a good network for both the advertisers and the affiliates? :)

What about what makes for an excellent affiliate program?

This question is of course open to your interpretation. I'm just trying to get a conversation going :D

That's the million dollar question isn't it and if someone knew they'd be the only one!

In all honestly though I think being trustworthy plays a big part and keeping people happy. It is a balancing act of sorts as Advertisers/Publishers have opposing wants... Advertisers want cheap advertising, Publishers want to make the most money.

The trick is striking that balance.

don't know for the advertiser, but as a publisher I want really really helpful and knowledgable AM's. they can really make or break the deal.

Reliability is a must for both affiliate networks and programs,

Must have stats, and 24 hour contact availability for both affiliates and merchants.

Unfortunately more networks are tending to favour the merchant side of their operations leaving affiliates in a frustration stew in many cases.

I wrote an article about this worrying trend.
