Work on your site's SEO and submit your site to several directories.

Hi everyone!
I have been reading the posts on this forum about websites actually getting 500-1,000 visitors daily.

I would consider that a slow day

I have mostly posted on craigslist, a few psychic directories, regular directories and I probably get about 10 visitors a day :?. I've tried the cheap way out and I think I need to be doing something different. HELPPPPP MEEEEEEE!

Hello

That is possible but it needs extra work to be done. it needs soem investment or your own resources, otherwise.

You need to get your web site optimised, then get loads of links form other web sites.

In few weeks times you will get traffic for sure.

How traffic increases with constant struggle, you can see here

http://www.mobilemastee.com/mobile_blog ... s-sources/

It is just after 6 weeks time of web site came live.

Thanks for the advice. However, I've already done that yesterday and I already have reviews for my site by a couple of people here. Check it out on the review page and look for my log on name:CocoBrown and my site http://cocolatecafe.bravehost.com. It makes sense to check things out thoroughly before you make assumtions. No hard feelings. Can you help me with this question though?

I agree with vetofunk

Get rid of the subdomain
http://cocolatecafe.bravehost.com.

Try to get your own domain name eg. http://cocolatecafe.com

Make sure that you have quality content and google will send you traffic. Over 50% of my traffic comes from google. The rest come from repeat visitors, because they know that http://what-is-what.com has good content.

I reckon these things are all important...

1) including meta tags to help google
2) posting a lot on forums and ppls blogs (check http://technorati.com to find the most popular)
3) getting reciprocal links with whoever you can
4) finding really cheap ways to boost your hits

I've just found a new cheap way that's boosting my hits already. New site http://www.whoistopofthelist.com. I reckon it could take off and be really big. I'm already getting about 10+ referral hits from there every day and that's from just 30cents! I'm sure it's only going to get better too.

Have compelling content and make sure your site is SEO optimized, get it out in the blogosphere. Submit articles to sites like articlepanda.com or ezinearticles.com ... basically work your ass off and your luck will improve

In my experience it is wise to say that it takes money to make money. If your aiming for traffic and no monetary results, then exhaust all resources that you can by blowing your site up via word of mouth, the honest truth is, the internet is diluted today and the only concrete "cheap" exposure you can achieve is word of mouth (IMO)!

Now if you want to spend a few hundred here and there, do some research on your website, not only the type of website you are selling to the populous, but the content it contains. Providing valuable information in an easy to read and understand format and layout can do you wonders. Look into blogging to increase your page rankings with Google for starters, also a little SEO never hurt anybody ! :D
