Does anyone know how this guy gets his sponsored links?

www .stupidgirls .com

All those links are not just links to other sites, but they are sponsored links. (ie, he maked 10cents each click)

I know that when you post on Overture.com, it will show up on this site - I have done so and seen my ad here.

Any ideas? I don't believe that this is a service overture offers is it? Then how is he getting those as sponsored links?

Is that not just some sort of Domain parking?

I don't think so. I know that when I advertized for Free Email, it would show up on these sites. There are probably about 100 of these sites and all those links are PPC links.

I was basically paying Overture/Yahoo for putting my link on a link farm.

Example: Check out www .stupidgirls .com and see the results for "Girls".

Then search on Yahoo for "Girls"

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=girls& ... 1&ei=UTF-8

The sponsored links on the right side in Yahoo are the same as the links on stupidgirls.com

How does he do it? Is the site owned by Yahoo? Does he have a special partership with Yahoo?

He is simply using Overture (which is part of Yahoo):

I checked out their program, and it says to use Overture you must have 20 million views a month.

So does this mean he has 20 million page views per month? I mean there are few websites that have kind of traffic or am I wrong?

Is there an Overture program for the little guys (like adwords)

How can I sign up for Overture too?

The company who owns the domain you are referring to has thousands and thousands if not millions of other parked domains just like that using overture search results. So yes I wouldn't be suprised if they have enough traffic to participate in that program.

Also for the 20 million page view requirement, I believe that is just for a customized solution. I only use Google Adsense, but I believe Yahoo/Overture offers something for the small guys too. I am sure someone else can comment on that.

They do, but it's more expensive to start and more restrictive than Adwords.

Unless they've changed things recently the starting fee is $50 which will be put toward clicks once your campaign is underway. Also, they personally review every ad before it goes live to make sure it fits their guidelines so you generally have to wait a day for your ad to go live. They are also more strict about which keywords you can bid on.

Still, it's a good program. Just not as good as Adwords IMO.

I don't think you understand - I want to publish, not advertize.

I sent them off an email, saying that I have only 200,000 views per month, but still want to participate in their program. They will turn me down and laugh, but hey if ya don't ask, ya don't gets.

Ok so this guy is also doing it:

http://search.biz .tm/search.php?qq=travel

What program has he signed up for that allows him to display ads as search results?

Ok, I take that back the domainhop guy doesnt use the same advertiser. He somehow uses his own.

But still, the search.biz.tm guy is using Yahoos search thing. Does anyone else use this?
