hello can someone help me and tell me how can i delete the ''powered by coppermine'' in the footer on the coppermine version 1.4.12 ?

First open the file that it's in using notepad, then highlight that section of text, finally you press delete on your keyboard.

Be warned though, removing that is likely to piss someone off, there's knuckleheads who actively look for people doing stuff like that because they believe it gives them a moral excuse to deface a website.

can you tell what for file? i open the folder ''cpg1412'' i have download from the net and then should i go to the ''themes'' folder and then the ''fruity'' theme folder now i have there 3 files 1. template.html, 2. style (cascading Style Sheet Document), 3. theme.php. and which one schould i have to open with noteped?

Since it is open source software, without even looking I could be 99% positive that somewhere in their documentation it states that you are not permitted to remove that line.

That's illegal. You shouldn't be able to do that and if you want to do that than contact the makers of coppermine. I could tell you but that would be me helping you break a legal right agreement.

I have to say that the programm is free, but if you dont want to tell me maybe there is some other who will.

If Coppermine wanted people to remove that piece of code from their work they would let you know how to. I don't think it is within anyones right here at Ozzu to help you do something that would appear illegal.
