I think it will look better if you use photoshop to remove the shadows and fix the colors a little :)

Yeah, but I don't know how to use photoshop well. Could you do for me? I'd send the original photo to your email? did you view it in Flickr, I think the color in there looks better. Maybe they preserve it..

Honestly, since I know you are trying to learn better photography, I'd skip the photoshop idea, and practice learning how to take better portraits, by learning proper studio lighting techniques. Good lighting will help your photos way more than Photoshop could.
