The condensation (I'm assuming?) created a quite nice effect - looks like it was done in post!
I have a picture that turned out similarly - it was -30 something out and I was in a heated car changing lenses!

Also, the silhouette picture posted previously is my pic of the litter thus far.

Really "cool" effect dM. ;) It really softens up the edges and gives it a more period feel to go along with the subject itself. Sometimes the images you don't think will be any good turn out great!

That would have been perfect for the Shadow contest. Very nice shot.

Freakin' beautiful! That's an awesome shot. It really conveys the scale and size well.

My next entry was a tough decision. I just shot this church this past weekend and with no further adieu...

The Ruins of Old Sheldon - Prince William's Parish Church in Gardens Corner, SC.

Oh I would have loved to visit that church dM. It looks like a gold mind for photo opps! Excellent use of depth and distance in that one, using the wall and archway to frame it out.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

Oh, well, I'm kind of weird I guess. Spirituality doesn't come easily to me, I'm a natural-born agnostic - just the way I'm wired. But, I do go to church every Sunday like clock work, I listen to the message and I'm active in my church where I can be.

I find churches to be incredibly interesting. The vast variety and diversity of types of churches is compelling to me. There's the architecture, personalities of the congregations, the histories, sterotypic American-isms, etc...

I've planned to do a photo-expose' of churches in my area for a long time. This duel is going to be the springboard for that, I hope.

wow what a contest! currently my favourite is probably dM's Chapin Church, although Unflux's St. James is right up there. Amazing, both of you. inspires me to go dig out my pics of churches around York...
