Photography is permitted at the airport?

Hi All,

Photography is permitted at the Delhi domestic airport? I have seen many on flickr. I wish to take some this time. please let me know.

make sure you don't wander around there parcel office or cop station and force area where photography is prohibited otherwise it's ok. :)

If you ask the airport management for permission they may grant it. If you turn up and just take photos they are more likely to approach you and request you stop.

At the end of the day the security of the airport is very important for management and some people taking photographs may have more sinister reasons for taking the photo than you have.

It is a privately owned building and you are a guest, so they do have the right to deny you.

I know this is an older thread and too late to help the OP, but it did make me think about an update from one of my favorite photographers (Trey Ratcliff) not long ago.

He said that he was asked to leave Grand Central Station because he didn't have a permit for his tripod.

No kidding, it's ok to take a camera, but if you want to take your tripod, you have to have a permit for it in advance.

What ever happened to not getting caught and running lol, as far as i see as long as your not taking pictures of government building doing recon you should be fine.

I`ve been to Delhi in 2010 and you could take a many photos as you wanted.

In Delhi airport I have seen some people use their camera, but yes the authority always forbid to take pictures here.

As far as i know, the Airport authorities in any country is not permitting anybody to take photographs inside the airport.
