These are from various times, but I am really proud of them.
I wanted to get the opera house form a different perspective..

Image

No Idea what I was trying to achieve here.

Image

This one was to compare the size of me to the bridge

Image

I am not sure about this one.. It was taken from Taronga Zoo

Image

This one was taken from the Manly Ferry.. I like this one, but it was taken with a crappy camera.

I love taking landscapes, as you can see haha.

In terms of colouring and quality, they're all excellent. Now we just gotta brush you up on some pointers of composition. ;) Man I want to visit Sydney so bad it hurts.

It's funny to me because the one you said you were unsure of from the zoo is my favorite. Though the last one is excellent as well. The one from the zoo has a lot of depth, lots of width, lots to see...it's an excellent landscape to my eye. You have enough foreground and background with plenty of interesting things to see. Plus, for me as a dumb American, I'm just ga-ga over anything Australian. :D

I love photographing Sydney harbour, it has to be one of the best landscapes ever.

I can't wait to get my new camera, because I know I can take nice pictures, cos the last one was taken with a very old canon, point and shoot, digital zoom camera.

So excited.

Thanks for your input unflux :D

Yeah, Sydney's awesome - so many places to shoot. To become a better photographer just keep taking photos, and looking at them afterwards to see how they could be improved. Also look at other people's work and ask them how they achieved what they did.

I loved Sydney, and seeing these photos makes me want to go back again. I really should.

Anyhoo, i'll agree with UNFLUX here. Your last two listed were the best.

I don't know how familiar you are with software such as Photoshop but sometimes using the levels tool and the curves tool can improve the photograph when using point and shoot cameras. With your DSLR camera you should be able to adjust the camera to get the right level of light in etc etc should you play about when taking photos.

I'm gonna get out to Hyde Park or somewhere in the city to take some shots ... hopefully ... I'm gonna wear my aussie cricket shirt, green boardies, cricket hat, and my flag as a cape. :D
